Lake of the Isles Residence

This classic 1906 Queen Anne on Lake of the Isles was neglected and long-overdue for an update. The exterior was sympathetically renovated, and the traditional front porch rebuilt to take full advantage of its beautiful views. Inside, the extensive woodwork was stripped of paint, the hardwood floors uncovered—over time, nearly every square inch of the interior and exterior was renovated. The kitchen renovation and addition pulled the out-of-the-way room into the home’s central sightlines, transforming the kitchen from a dark corner room into the house’s crossroads.

This home has been featured in many publications, including 50 Dream Kitchens (2005), Renovation Style magazine (2005), and the StarTribune (September 2000). It was one of the two ASID Showcase Homes in 2010.
